In this article, I will talking about what successful blog means to be. There are so many notions about successful blogging, some are insane and far from the truth while some scratching the surface of the truth.
WHAT EXACTLY IS SUCCESSFUL BLOGGING?
Success when related to Jobs, career or academics means something entirely different when compared to blogging. Let me make things clear: Success in those areas pertains to achieving fame, wealth and social status and it does not merely mean the same thing for blogging at least to me. Successful blogging is so much more than wealth or fame, I will get into details right away.
POINTS THAT MAKE YOUR BLOG SUCCESSFUL
Quality over Quantity: This point is very important and should be overemphasized because the quality of the content created is more important that the audience. Don’t get me wrong! Having a large audience on your blog is not a bad idea, in fact it is an excellent thing but it should not be your priority. It is equally important but the place of researching and giving accurate information should not be taking lightly and it does not mean you should look down on yourself if you are not getting encouraging feedback. In other words, your content comes first before your audience this means you have the responsibility to research, give valid information that is well passed and easy to understand.
Goals: We have all made goals in different aspects of our life, be it academics, exercise and fitness, eating habits and so much more. Just like every aspect of your life, you need to define goals that you want to achieve as a blogger because that is what you will use to measure your success along the run. For example, you can start with short term goals like:
GOALS FOR 2021
- For the next 6 months, I want to release two well detailed articles every week.
The goals should be specific and detailed. You do not have to follow my goals, it is just an example.
Build Relationships: As people come to read articles and leave comments-nasty or impressive, try to build relationships with them this is because it will give them a good impression about you making them to visit frequently.
Decide on the content you want your blog to be about: This point is a very crucial one and should not be overlooked. Blogging about plenty things can be overwhelming. It is always advised that one should pick niche that they want to blog about while starting to give them a sense of direction and focus on that niche to produce detailed articles. One should avoid giving false information on their blog.
Advertise your blog: One hardly keeps good news to himself, they are always talking about it to everyone that crosses their way. That is the same way you should advertise your blog. Advertise your blog on your different social media platforms to create awareness about your blog and build audience.
